The governor of Oklahoma is limited to term this year. Asked about his inheritance, Stitt said he was proud to have accomplished “freedom of education” and become a top 10 state where people move.

“We had teachers’ debraying, we had budgetary deficits of $ 1 billion, we had no savings money, and we had this kind of sensation of second class as a state,” said Stitt about his country of origin before taking office. “I am a fourth generation Oklahoman, and we do not do as well as we could have, and I wanted to bring this bravado.”

In the sense of next year, Stitt said he was closely monitoring the government’s race, because several candidates had already declared their applications.

“Behind the scenes, I will certainly let the Oklahomans know who I think is the best to replace myself, but if we can get some good governors of businessmen and people who are focused on the next generation, not the next elections, we can absolutely keep this momentum in Oklahoma, and we can continue to be a state of the top 10,” said Stitt.

As for his own political future, Stitt said he was planning to return to his business as “our founding fathers envisaged”, adding that “policy should not necessarily be a profession where to climb the scale”.

“When I said to the Oklahomans, I came from the business world and I said that I will always focus on the next generation, not the next elections,” concluded Stitt. “This is why Oklahomans are starting to prosper, because we do not make political decisions, we make the right decisions for the citizens of Oklahoma.”
