Following a closed -door briefing with senior White House officials, the Senate Republicans have gone convinced that Iran’s nuclear capacities had been sterilized, while some Senate Democrats thought that the briefing had raised more questions than they answered.

Many legislators have left the briefing which does not want to disclose classified details by decomposing the impact of the operation of President Donald Trump Midnight Hammer. Those who only shared saving for what happened inside which tended to vary depending on where they were from the political spectrum.

“Their operational capacity was erased. There is no one who works there tonight. It was very effective,” said Senator Lindsey Graham, Rs.C.

However, Graham still had questions about the status of Iran’s enriched uranium, saying to journalists: “The program was erased on these three sites, but they still have ambitions. I do not know where the 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium are, but that was not part of the target whole.”

Each senator was invited to the briefing led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, CIA director John Ratcliffe and the president of the chiefs of joint staff John Caine.

This occurs while the Democrats have required more answers on the quantity of destruction that was formulated on the installations of Isfahan, Natanz and Fordow.

The head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., told journalists that anyone in the classified briefing should be appropriate that Congress should apply the resolution of war powers.

“President Trump said the nuclear stock was completely and completely erased. I did not receive an adequate answer to this question. What was clear is that there was no coherent strategy, no end game, no plan, no specific, no detailed plan on the way Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons,” said Schumer.

Meanwhile, before the briefing, the Senate Republicans postponed a disclosed report that Trump strikes on Iran did not erase the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, but always wanted more information on the entire extent of damage caused to key installations.

An assessment of largely reported “low confidence” from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) suggested that weekend strikes have not completely destroyed the nuclear capacities of Iran.

Trump remained firm that the sites were “completely erased” and that the White House greatly postponed the report. And Israeli and Iranian governments agree that the sites have been seriously damaged.

Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee told Fox News Digital that they were confident in the President’s evaluation and go back to the Dia conclusions.

“First of all, one of the things I would consider is that Dia said that Ukraine would be destroyed in three days,” Senator Kevin Cramer told RN.D., Fox News Digital. “And secondly, whatever the damage to Fordow, Iran’s capacity damage (nuclear) are devastating.”

Cramer said that the effectiveness of the bombing, which had been carried out by several B-2 bombers armed with bunker bombs, could not be “overestimated” and warned that the persistent questions surrounding the effectiveness of the operation were only “the fodder for a political discussion”.

“I think the mission has been accomplished,” he said.

The president of the Senate of the Armed Services Committee, Roger Wicker, R-Miss., Had not yet read the report, but described the conclusion of DIA and the reports that followed “false”. Wicker’s feeling came right after the Senate Republicans met behind closed doors with the Israeli ambassador Yechiel Leiter on Wednesday.

“We have just spoken to the Israeli ambassador to the United States a few moments ago, and his evaluation is that their capacity has been destroyed for years,” said Wicker.

However, how damaged nuclear installations are, in particular the Fordow fuel enrichment plant buried deeply under the layers of rock, is a question that legislators want to answer and believe only from a real evaluation boots on the ground.

Senator Mike Rounds, Rs.d., told Fox News Digital that he had seen all the evidence and that there was no “inconsistency” between the president’s claims and the documents he had seen.

He said that the briefing would allow legislators “a chance of several sources to glean what is in fact deep below”, but noted that until clearer information is available, the absolute confirmation of the total damage caused by the bombs was not finished.

The question of whether another strike should be authorized should show more information than the program has not been completely destroyed, Rounds said: “Another strike depends on what other options would be.”

“I don’t think you’ve ever removed something from the table for the president, but there could also be other ways to manage it, because we have really opened this place now,” he said.
