France summoned the American ambassador Charles Kushner to Paris, after the diplomat accused the country of not doing enough to combat anti -Semitism in a letter to the French president Emmanuel Macron.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement published on Sunday that Kushner’s allegations “were unacceptable” and announced that it had summoned the American diplomat to appear on Monday to the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Kushner, who is Jewish, wrote in the letter that anti -Semitic incidents in France were fed by French government declarations on the recognition of a Palestinian state.
“The public statements haranguize Israel and make gestures towards the recognition of a Palestinian state embarking on extremists, fuel violence and endangering Jewish life in France. In today’s world, anti -Zionism is anti -Semitism – simple and simple,” wrote Kushner.

The ministry moved more anti -Semitic acts “.
The ministry said that Kushner’s allegations violate international law and the obligation not to interfere with the internal affairs of another country, adding that “are not also below the quality of the transatlantic partnership between France and the United States and the confidence that must prevail between the allies”.
