The latest Fox News survey, published on Monday, finds 3 out of 10 by deporting all illegal immigrants, while 6 out of 10 supports only people accused of crimes, but would allow others to stay and ask for citizenship. One in 10 favors allowing all illegal immigrants to stay in the United States

Since 2015, a majority has generally favored the expulsion of illegal immigrants.

Fox News survey: GOP is considered more likely to have a clear plan for the country

Republicans (54%) are about eight times more likely than Democrats (7%) to say that all illegal immigrants should be expelled, and a quarter of the self -employed agree (25%).

About 8 democrats out of 10, 6 out of 10 independents and 4 out of 10 Republicans agree that at least illegal immigrants accused of crimes should be expelled, while others should be offered a path to stay.

However, on the current approach to expulsion, the views are divided. Half, 49%, the ice was too aggressive in its efforts to expel illegal immigrants while a quarter (24%) say that it was not aggressive enough. Almost 3 out of 10 say that expulsion efforts are almost correct (27%).

Most Democrats believe that ice is too aggressive (81%), while Republicans are divided between asserting that its shares are almost correct (43%) or not aggressive (40%). Some 17% of Republicans think that the ice has been too aggressive.

The self -employed are more likely to say that the agency is too aggressive (49%) than around the law (28%) or not aggressive enough (23%).

Fox News survey: Trump facing winds -contrary to six months

When they were asked what concerned them about illegal immigration, the greatest number of voters claim that it overwords government programs (39%). Less concern, that this leads to an increase in crime (16%) or terrorism (10%), takes jobs from American citizens (14%) or modifies the country’s culture (9%).

The concerns about illegal immigration have changed somewhat compared to 15 years ago. At that time, by a margin of 10 points, a greater share was worried about economic issues such as government programs on the opening or employment of citizens’ jobs (63% in 2010 against 53% now), and less were concerned about increased crime (6% in 2010 against 16% now).

Meanwhile, majorities are opposed to the elements related to immigration included in new budgetary legislation, the “Big Beautiful Bill”, because 55% are against increasing spending on the border wall and 59% oppose more expenses in immigrant detention centers.

By margin of 6 points, voters believe that the Republican Party is better able to manage immigration than the Democratic Party, and the best employment ratings of President Donald Trump concern border security (56%, 44%disapprove of) and immigration (48%, 51%). Fewer voters approve the foreign policy (45%, 54%), the economy (44%, 55%) and inflation and prices (36%, 62%for both). Overall, 46% approves his professional performance, while 54% disapprove of.

One of the reasons why Trump is so well on border security is that 1 out of 5 Democrat approves the work it makes – their highest note on any problem tested. The same goes for the self -employed that more than half approves, making border security its best problem.

A look at Hispanic voters …

On illegal immigration, attitudes among Hispanic voters resemble those among voters overall: 60% support the expulsion of illegal immigrants loaded with crimes while 15% support the expulsion of all those here illegally (23% say that everything remains).

More than half of Hispanic voters like Trump’s performance on border security (54% approve) but do not like it on immigration (60% disapprove). Overall, 42% approve and 58% disapprove of.

And as voters on the whole, the greatest concern of illegal immigration among Hispanic voters is the government of adorning (35%). Otherwise, concerns are propagated through other questions such as crime (15%), jobs (14%), culture (14%) and terrorism (11%).

Directed from July 18 to 21, 2025, under the direction of Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R), this Fox News survey includes interviews with a sample of 1,000 voters registered at random in a national voter file. The respondents maintained themselves with live interviewers on fixed lines (114) and mobile phones (636) or completed the survey online after receiving a text (250). The results based on the full sample have a sampling error margin of ± 3 percentage points. The sampling error for the results between the sub-groups is higher (among the Hispanic voters, it is ± 9 percentage points). In addition to the sampling error, the wording of the question and the order can influence the results. Weights are generally applied to age, race, education and area variables to ensure that the demography of respondents is representative of the registered electoral population. Sources to develop weight objectives include the American Community Survey, Fox News Voter Analysis and voter file data.
