Former Vice President Kamala Harris has advocated for lowering the minimum voting age to 16.
In a interview Posted on YouTube channel “The Diary Of A CEO,” Harris said she believes “we should lower the voting age to 16.”
“I’ll tell you why. So Gen Z, they’re 13 to 27, they’ve only experienced the climate crisis,” she said.

“If they are in high school or college, especially college, it is very likely that the subject they have chosen as their major of study will not allow them to get an affordable salary. They have coined the term climate anxiety…” she said.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Harris’ comments by rejecting her proposal.
