Former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro confirmed the best DC prosecutor

The Senate confirmed on Saturday Jeanine Pirro, the choice of President Donald Trump to serve the position of Principal Prosecutor of Washington DC, because the legislators did not conclude an agreement in RAM thanks to dozens of candidates from the president.

Pirro, who was confirmed by a vote of 50 to 45, will serve as an American lawyer for the Columbia district, a position she has held since May in May.

Pirro has previously been a district prosecutor in the county of Westchester, New York, for more than a decade. Before that, she was on the bench as a county judge of Westchester in the early 1990s.

“Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position and is considered one of the best district prosecutors in New York State history,” said Trump when he named Pirro. “She is in a class alone.”

However, she was not Trump’s first choice for work. His first choice, Ed Martin, failed to obtain enough support among the Republicans earlier this year. Senator Thom TillisRN.C., actually landed the appointment of Martin on the concerns concerning his opinions on the riot of January 6, 2021 in Capitol Hill.

And the Pirro road to confirmation was not without its own hiccups and dramas.

The Senate Democrats accused him of the amplification of Trump’s electoral fraud allegations in 2020 and defending him after the riot of Capitol of January 6 during his host of Fox News, and warned that she would make the president’s tender in his role as the main Washington DC prosecutor.
