The Ministry of Justice announced Thursday that it had borne criminal charges against five fugitives who would be high leaders of the United Cartels, a foreign terrorist organization designated and involved in a distribution network of massive drugs.
Doj’s criminal division, Matthew Galeotti, said the indictment acts marked an “important step” in the Doj’s mission to eradicate the organization and came following an “extraordinary police work”.

The five men were reportedly involved in a conspiracy of several decades to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, including in the United States. They are faced with drug trafficking and accusations of firearms that carry maximum life -prison sanctions.
“Today’s accusations are designed to dismantle the Cartels of the United States and translate their leaders into justice for having triggered the death and destruction of American citizens,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
