Fetterman, a supporter of Israel, marked the release of the still living hostages

Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania marked the release of the remaining live hostages held by Hamas, the terrorist group that carried out the heinous October 7, 2023 attack in Israel.

He thanked President Donald Trump for helping broker the peace deal that led to the release of captives kidnapped in the attack.

“The nightmare is finally over. May the hostages make a full recovery and may we never forget those who did not make it out alive. Thank you to @POTUS for a revolutionary ceasefire in this terrible war,” Fetterman noted in his job on X.

Fetterman began his message with a quote from former hostage Eli Sharabi, who was released in February. This two-word quote, “Now, life,” comes from Sharabi’s memoir, “Hostage.”

Fetterman has been a loyal and ardent supporter of Israel following the horrific 2023 attack and the war that followed.

“I congratulate @POTUS on this historic peace plan that frees all hostages. Now, lasting peace in the region is possible. Our parties are different but we have a common unwavering commitment to Israel and its people,” he noted in a statement. job on X last week.
