In a radical decision aimed at reducing the mandates of the pandemic era, the Trump administration ordered on Friday at all federal agencies to erase any file linked to the status of Vaccination COVID-19 of employees, to requests for non-compliance or exemption from prior mandate.

The directives, published by the American Bureau of Staff Management (OPM), were a response to the recent dispute and are part of a broader thrust to reverse what the officials have described as “harmful policies of the Pandemic era” imposed by the Biden administration.

“Things have become uncontrollable during the pandemic, and federal workers were dismissed, punished or sidelined for simply making a personal medical decision,” said OPM director Scott Kupor in a statement. “”It should never have happened. Thanks to the President (Donald) Trump, we make sure that the excesses of that time have no persistent effects on federal workers. “”

Trump administrator issues new advice to protect religious expression through federal workforce

Former president Joe Biden Signed the executive decree 14043 in September 2021, ordering the federal agencies to demand the vaccination COVID-19 as a condition of federal employment.

After the controversial request, numerous proceedings were filed by federal employees, unions and states alleging that the mandate violated constitutional rights and federal labor laws.

A federal court of appeal blocked the application of the ordinance in 2022 and Biden repealed the mandate in May 2023, which prompted OPM officials to issue a memorandum to the human resources directors declaring that “agencies should examine their job assignments … to ensure that there is no conformity to the deadlines revoked 14043, as a qualification requirement.”

The memo also reminded agencies that the decree could no longer be applied.
