Ex-NFL player and trainer of the Gamecocks defensive line injured in a car accident

Travian Robertson, a South Carolina The defensive line coach and former NFL player, is in a stable state after being injured in a car accident on Friday morning, university said in a statement.

Head coach Shane Beamer confirmed in a press release published by Southern Carolina that Robertson, who is in his third year as a Deputy coach of Gamecocks, should make a “complete recovery” after the accident.

“Travian Robertson was involved in a car accident this morning. He is currently in the hospital in a stable state. We expect him to recover completely and come back to the field soon,” said the school declaration.

South Carolina will probably be without Robertson on the sidelines when opening the season against Virginia Tech August 31.
