Macron – Who sent geopolitical shock waves when he announced at the end of last month that France would recognize the state of Palestine in September – the renewed calls for an immediate cease -fire in the Gaza Strip, the return of all hostages and the complete recovery of the aid to the region.
Macron doubled on his call to the state on Sunday and said that the end of the conflict is no longer enough.
“This effort must be accompanied by a political solution for the next day. This solution is the solution to two states, Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace. This is the only possible path to a future where justice, security and dignity are guaranteed for all peoples of the region,” he said.
Macron has also clearly indicated its position with regard to Hamas, which some, including Israel and the United States, interviewed after its push for the Palestinian state.
“That there is no ambiguity: in this political vision that we defend, we demand the total demilitarization of Hamas, its complete exclusion of any form of governance and the recognition of Israel by the state of Palestine,” he added.
Macron’s announcement has prompted other Western nations to follow up on, including the United Kingdom, Canada and even Germany – although Berlin’s position on the state has left room for a certain ambiguity.

“We are working with partners on a long-term solution and we are planning peace. This must start with an immediate cease-fire, which releases hostages, as well as the elimination of inhuman aid restrictions,” added Lammy.
The recently published images of two of the 50 hostages still organized in Gaza coincided with a trip, the White House envoy, Steve Witkoff, went to Israel at the end of last week, during which he visited the managers and families of Tel Aviv.
The reports have suggested that the United States are now pressure for a complete agreement that would include a full ceasefire and the return of all hostages, rather than additional agreements apparently favored by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Witkoff would have told families that he thought that the United States and other Allied nations helped to mediate negotiations that an agreement is about to be obtained – although this belief has been expressed several times in vain.
Only American Orland Edan Alexander was released as part of an agreement not previously forged by the Biden and the Trump administrations at the time, which saw the release of 33 hostages by March.
