First on Fox: Eric Flores, a veteran of the army and former federal prosecutor, launched a republican campaign for the congress on Monday in a key district of the battle house at the southern tip of Texas.
“We need fewer politicians and more fighters who will put our communities first,” said Flores in a shared video first with Fox News Digital.
He promised that “in Congress, I will be with President Trump, fight and deliver to southern Texas every day”.
Flores presents itself in the 34th district of the Texas Congress, which extends along the Coast of the Gulf of the South of Corpus Christi on the border with Mexico. It includes Brownsville and extends to the west to include parts of McAllen.

Flores, who met NRCC officials, is a Hispanner who grew up in the Rio Grande valley.
He was ordered in the American army as an infantry officer and reached the rank of captain. He served in the Texas National Guard and commanded soldiers when supporting the Guardian operation along the South American border with neighboring Mexico.
Flores is also a former American assistant prosecutor, contributing to the proceedings of the operations linked to the cartel and the trafficking of human beings. His campaign biography also notes that Flores “has obtained the conviction of one of the” first ten “of the most sought -after fugitives in Texas – recognized achievements with two American lawyers”.
Flores, who was also a municipal judge in Alton, Texas, is currently a partner of a legal cabinet on the level of the State where he heads the litigation service, defending the municipalities and the school districts of Texas. He is married and father of two children.
“Every day, I see how broken policies harm our community,” said Flores. “Enough, that’s enough. Politicians start first, while the valley is left.”

Flores said that “President Trump resisted the initiates and fought for places like ours: communities that career politicians always forget. We cannot lose this opportunity. This is why I present myself for the congress. We need daring leadership and in principle, and we need it now.”
While several other Republicans appear in the GOP primary in the district next March, Flores is considered the only major republican candidate.
