The Ministry of Defense plans to build the largest detention center for federal migrants in the United States to date, in Fort Bliss in Texas, which should have up to 5,000 beds for illegal foreigners.
Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson announced the project during a press briefing on Thursday, saying that construction started in July.
“Since then, the work has started for an initial detention capacity of 1,000 illegal foreigners with an initial operating capacity likely to be reached by mid-August in late August,” said Wilson. “Once the DOD has reached the initial stand, we will finish construction up to 5,000 beds in the coming weeks and months.”
Wilson said the installation will become the largest of the kind in American history, serving what it called “this critical mission: the deportation of illegal foreigners”.

The new installation is being created to support President Donald Trump’s executive decree to protect the Americans from an invasion.
The announcement follows the Governor of Indiana. Mike Braun Recent declaration according to which the State will build an installation nicknamed the “Speedway Slammer” at the Miami Correctional Center, located between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
Named in reference to the Indiana racing heritage, including Indianapolis 500, the “Speedway Slammer” will house up to 1,000 migrants once operational.

“We are proud to work with President Trump and Secretary Noem as they remove the worst of the worst with this innovative partnership,” Braun said in a statement on Tuesday. “Indiana adopts a global and collaborative approach to combat illegal immigration and will continue to show the way between states.”
The financing of the project comes from a reconciliation bill signed by Trump last month, which he described as “big, beautiful bill”.
The Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) said that the legislation was funding the 287 (G) program, which facilitates cooperation between immigration and customs application (ICE) and local authorities, as well as 80,000 ice ownership beds.
The Trump administration continued deportation operations while encouraging undocumented immigrants without additional criminal record for self-repair.

According to the DHS, people who voluntarily leave the country are eligible for an incentive and free trips of $ 1,000, potentially allowing a legal return to the future.
Another installation, known informally as “Alligator Alcatraz”, opened this summer under the supervision of federal officials and the governor of Florida, Ron Desantis. It serves as a staging center for deportations.
Initially funded by the State, the installation will also receive the support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It currently contains 2,000 people, the capacity that should double. Expulsion flights started at the end of last month.

The installation was converted from an airport disconcerted in the Everglades. A second center can follow, according to WJHL. State officials have been criticized immigration and environmental defense groups in relation to the location and objective of the establishment.
