An online trend takes the morning coffee at a whole new level, as some people on social networks lead “coffee enemas”.

A washer is a medical procedure that involves injecting a solution into the rectum and the lower colon (the large intestine), according to Rosario Ligresti, MD, chief of gastroenterology of Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.

“The main objective is to stimulate a saddle, but it can also be used to administer drugs or for diagnostic purposes,” he told Fox News Digital.

Daily coffee is linked to the main advantages of health in women as they age, the study reveals

A coffee washing is a type of colon cleaning used in alternative medicine, assuming that absorption of the coffee compounds will trigger the liver to detoxify the body, said Ligresti.

This practice, which was popularized in the 1920s and 1930s, is a central component of “Gerson therapy”, alternative cancer treatment, according to the doctor.

“Interestingly, one of my patients just asked me (Caxe Enemas),” said Ligresti.

The procedure is similar to a regular enema, except that the water is mixed with infiltrated and cavity coffee and rinsed in the colon through the rectum.

The mixture of coffee cars is held in the colon for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the body to absorb the compounds by the intestinal wall before expelling the liquid.

An alternative to popular coffee can help prevent cancer, say experts

Lavabos have been used as detoxification tools in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Ayurvedic practices, “but the use of coffee in particular is a more modern adaptation”, noted Mona Sharma, a nutritionist based in Los Angeles, a well-being entrepreneur and a member of the IFIT Council of Sciences.

“In my office, I worked with customers who say they feel under tension, with a clear or lighter head after a coffee enema,” Sharma told Fox News Digital. “That said, this is not my first Go-To for detoxification.”

She noted that the experiences of her customers are “anecdotal and not supported by conclusive clinical research”.

Ligresti confirmed that there were no scientifically proven health services to make a coffee enema.

“The idea that enemas can” detoxify “the body is a myth,” he said. “The liver and kidneys are the body’s natural detoxification systems.”

As a defender of well-being, Sharma said that she also believed by supporting the natural intelligence of the body.

“The idea that enemas can” detox “the body is a myth.”

“Our organs are incredibly capable of self-revoor when we feed them properly,” she said.

Sharma recommends “detoxification” practices such as green leafy vegetables, bitter herbs and landing to “help our systems do what they have been designed to do: cure, repair and prosper”.

Potential risks

The risks of using a coffee enema are well documented, warned Ligresti, including burns and infections resulting from the introduction of hot coffee in sensitive areas of the body.

It is even possible to overdose on caffeine after absorbing a toxic quantity, potentially causing anxiety, cardiac palpitations and, in serious cases, convulsions or death, according to the expert.

While some people suffer short -term advantages, increasing Sharma, coffee enemas have potential risks – “especially for those with intestinal disorders, hemorrhoids, heart problems or electrolyte imbalances”.

“Based on current medical evidence and the consensus of major health organizations, no one should consider a coffee enema,” said Ligresti.

Experts agree that only traditional enemas – and subsequent injected solutions – are safe medical tools to treat constipation and prepare the intestine for procedures under the direction of a health professional.

If someone always chooses to explore this therapy, Sharma recommends doing so only under the supervision of a competent practitioner who can monitor deficiencies or complications.
