The Ministry of Internal Security has castigated a federal judge order preventing the Trump administration from removing the temporary protected status of more than a million Venezuelan and Haitian nationals in the United States.

Temporary protected status, or TPS, applies to more than a million people from the two countries, allowing them to stay in the United States for the moment, according to The Associated Press.

The point of sale has indicated that it applies to 600,000 Venezuelans and 500,000 Haitians.

“For decades, the TPS program has been mistreated, exploited and politicized as a de facto amnesty program. Its use has been all the more dangerous, given the millions of illegal foreigners not assessed as the Biden administration has let in this country,” said a DHS spokesperson in a declaration to Fox News Digital.

“Although this order delays justice (DHS) Secretary (Kristi) Noem will use all the legal options available to the ministry to end this chaos and prioritize the safety of the Americans,” the statement continued. “Under God, the people governing. The militant judges not elected cannot stop the will of the American people for a safe and secure homeland.”

Judge Edward Chen, from the northern California district, wrote in his decision that the end of the TP was “unprecedented” and that Noem’s actions have violated the law.

“This case was born from the action taken after the current DHS secretary, Kristi Noem, to revoke the legal status of the holders of Venezuelan and Haitian TPS, referring them to conditions so dangerous that even the State Department advises to travel to their country of origin,” wrote the judge.

TPs for Venezuelans and Haitians were granted under Biden administration, because the qualifications for immigrants from a country to obtain status include an active war or a major public health crisis in their country of origin.

“The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough for him to be sure for Haitian citizens to return home,” said a spokesperson for Haiti in July. “We encourage these people to take advantage of the department’s resources to return to Haiti, which can be organized through the Home CBP application. Haitian nationals can pursue legal status through other requests for immigration services, if they are eligible.”
