Democrats have closed the government to give illegal health care, the majority

While the Democrats are trying to blame the GOP for the closure of the government, the whip of the majority of the room, Tom Emmer, said that the real reason for the closure was the “erroneous priorities” of the party and the leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer, the fear of its left base.

“What is behind the closure is that you have a frightened old man who is afraid of losing his leadership position, a guy by the name of Chuck Schumer in the Senate,” he said.

“It has nothing to do with health care.

In a declaration on Thursday by the Democrats of the Senate, Schumer blamed the closure of President Donald Trump’s “chaos”. He said the problem lies in the reductions in health care financing, saying that Republicans must “work with Democrats to reach an agreement to reopen the government and reduce health costs”.

Despite these declarations, EMMER said that the alternative financing proposal proposed by Schumer would have submitted 1.4 million illegal immigrants to Medicaid after being withdrawn by the restrictions imposed in the main bill and included in the continuous resolution of the chamber adopted at the end of September.

“You have a law in this country which says that the illegals are not able to obtain Medicaid. But what do you know?” And guess? The (Office of the Congress Budget) … estimated that this would give a kick at 1.4 million illegals of Medicaid if we keep these checks. “

“And it is by passing what is written in the alternative proposal to the Senate. Get rid of these verification requirements, which, guess what, means that you put 1.4 million illegals back on Medicaid,” said Emmer. “This is not what the American people want. This is not what Donald J. Trump has promised, and that’s not what the republicans of the house will do.”

Despite Schumer’s criticism, Emmer doubled, saying: “We did not remove the health care of anyone. What we have done was to strengthen Medicaid for the people for whom it is intended.”

“We have given them a bill to keep the government open. They must pass this as soon as possible,” he continued. “(But) It’s amazing for me, they are so deaf when it comes to the United States and traditional Americans, they just can’t get out of their own path.”

He predicted that the Democratic Party, in particular its leadership, will suffer a devastating political return to the closure and that it will only get worse for them while dragging on and the members of the military service and the essential government services are beginning to be affected.

“The Flame return is ultimately that Chuck Schumer is no longer the leader of the Senate, the leader of the minority,” he said, adding: “I think you may see a change in leadership on the Democrat side in the Chamber.”

“They are a party without chief and without message. They are desperately trying to find something they can talk about. The problem is that they did not listen to the American people last November.”

Fox News Digital contacted Schumer to comment but did not immediately receive an answer.

Speaking on MSNBC earlier this week, Schumer said that the idea that the Democrats have closed the government to give the illegal health care a “total, absolute and efficient lie”.

Schumer argued that the Republicans push this assertion because they “are afraid of the truth”, saying that their party has “decimated health care” for many Americans.
