Zohran Mamdani’s Democratic socialist allies could consult the main challenges next year against certain Democrats in the Congress in New York, including the chief of minorities of the Hakeem Jeffries Chamber.
But a superior political adviser from Jeffries promises that anyone who tries to avoid the best democrat in the Chamber of Primary next year will face an “energetic and relentless” response.
Mamdani, the 33 -year -old Democratic Socialist Assembly, from Ugandan, of Queens, sent political shock waves across the country with a convincing victory two weeks ago against the former New York governor Andrew Cuomo and nine other candidates for the New York City Primary democratic mayor. And Mamdani made a big step to become the first Muslim mayor in New York.
In the wake of Mamdani’s main victory last month, the American Democratic Socialists (DSA) stressed that “this movement is greater than a person, election, city or organization”.

“We encourage all people inspired by Zohran’s campaign to join their local DSA or Ydsa chapter and to get involved so that we can continue to fight alongside the elected officials of Zohran and the DSA through the country to create the future that we all deserve,” they added in a press release.
Fast advance until today, and DSA leaders apparently reflect on directing the main challengers against Jeffries as well as other Democrats in the Chamber whose districts are in New York, including representatives Ritchie Torres, Jerry Nadler, Dan Goldman and Yvette Clarke.
The intrigue to stop Mamdani: Democrats are unleashed to prevent far -left control in New York
Jeffries, who succeeded two years ago, the democratic leader of the longtime chamber, Nancy Pelosi, was criticized by some of the far left leaders in New York as a moderate and established democrat.
“His leadership has left a void that organizations like the DSA fill. I think that is more important at the moment,” CNN, co -president of the New York Democratic Socialist section, Gustavo Gordillo told CNN.
Senator of the Democratic Socialist State Jabari Brisport, the district of which includes some of the same areas of Brooklyn as Jeffries House District, argued in a declaration to Fox News that the longtime member of the Congress “is quickly unleashed with an insurgent and growing base in his own district.

Democratic strategist Andre Richardson, a Jeffries political advisor, underlined the radical and controversial movements of President Donald Trump during the first months of his second service visit to the White House, and said: “Chef Hakeem Jeffries is focused on the resuming the House of Maga extremists who has just tears the health care of millions of Americans.”
Richardson also warned in a statement to CNN that if those on the left set up a main challenge against Jeffries, “our answer will be energetic and relentless. We will teach them and all their holders a painful lesson on June 23, 2026.”

Jeffries, asked about a main potential challenge in an interview on Wednesday with CNN, replied that he had “no idea what these people speak”.
And Jeffries said he was focusing on “regrowth against extremism that was raging about the American people”.
Jeffries, Governor Kathy Hochul, the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, and other senior Democrats in New York have congratulated Mamdani’s campaign. And although they defended it against Trump’s attacks, they have refrained, for the moment, to have the mayor’s democratic candidate approved.
Mamdani has achieved a main victory thanks to an energetic campaign that has emphasized the affordability and high cost of New York.
He made intelligent use of social media platforms, including Tiktok, while he was initiating voters with low propagation. He proposed to eliminate the prices to set up the vast bus system from New York, making rents from Cuny (University of the City of New York), freezing rents on municipal housing, offering “free daycares” for children up to 5 years and the establishment of grocery stores managed by the government.
Thanks in part to the efforts of a huge army of basic volunteers, Mamdani has led a wave of support for younger and progressive voters to catapulate in first place on cuomowho had been the main first leader.

“I think it is clear that voters favor action on inaction, and not only progressive changes, but a big change of scanning,” the veteran democratic strategist Joe Caiazzo told Fox News Digital, when asked what Mamdani’s victory means for the party.
And Caiazzo, a veteran of the 2016 presidential campaigns 2016 and 2020 of Senator Bernie Sanders, said that one of the reasons for Mamdani’s victory was that he encountered tirelessly “the voters where they are”.
