Democratic representative Vindman slams a break from the Pentagon on Ukrainian weapons expeditions

Democratic representative Eugene Vindman said he was “furious” that the Pentagon froze certain expeditions of critical weapons in Ukraine.
“The decision to take a break from the expeditions of critical American weapons – including patriotic missiles and artillery – endangers lives and a Ukrainian territory,” wrote the army veteran, who represents Virginia, wrote on X.
“The Ukrainian people fight with fierce against Putin’s invasion,” he added. “We must correct the courses to guarantee that our Ukrainian partners have what they need in their struggle for freedom.”
Fox News confirmed on Wednesday that the United States had ceased to send weapons such as Patriot Interceptors missile and 155 mm artillery shells.

The judgment was conducted by the Defense Under-Secretary for the Elbridge Colby policy after an examination of the stocks of American ammunition showed dangerously low reserves, politico reported for the first time.
According to American military officials who followed the expeditions, the weapons were already staged in Poland before the order dropped.

“This was done to put the interests of the United States first,” said Deputy Pressure Secretary of the White House, Anna Kelly, in a statement also shared with Fox News Digital. “The strength of the United States armed forces remains indisputable – you just have to ask Iran.”
A senior defense official told Politico that Pentagon’s examination revealed that stocks of patriotic interceptors, 155 mm guided shells and other critical ammunition had dropped to levels deemed insufficient to respect American contingency plans.

The army has already quietly quadrupled its supply objectives for patriotic interceptors, but defense analysts claim that restocking will take time.
