Democrat Colin Allred targets the siege of the Cornyn Senate after losing against Cruz

The former representative of Texas Colin Allred takes another race for the American Senate after the Democrat lost against the Republican senator Ted Cruz barely eight months ago.

Allred seeks to challenge the headquarters of the Republican senator John Cornyn, who faces his own challenge within the republican party of the Attorney General of Texas Ken Paxton.

Allred announced his return to the political arena with a campaign video published on Tuesday, in which he took fire to Cornyn and Paxton, describing them as “too corrupt to worry about us and too weak to fight for us”.

A former secondary school and lawyer for the NFL, Allred told the story of how he was not drafted in the NFL, but worked hard enough to possibly become pro and buy a house from his mother.

“The truth is that you shouldn’t have to have a son in the NFL to own a house,” said Allred.

“Everything is behind,” he continued. “People who respect the rules and who keep faith cannot seem to go ahead. But people who have cut the corners and have concluded offers – well, they are fine.”

Allred undertook to run on an “anti-corruption plan”.

“I know Washington is broken,” he said. “The system is rigged. But it should not be so. In six years at Congress, I have never taken a penny of corporate PAC money, never negotiated a single stock.”

Allred’s announcement only comes eight months after losing nearly 9 percentage points against Cruz. This race was one of the most expensive in the country’s last cycle, the Democrats spending more than $ 130 million trying to overthrow Cruz.

Allred played four seasons in the NFL, all with the Titans of Tennessee, after being not drafted from Baylor University. He entered the congress by overthrowing a republican district in Dallas in 2018.

The former astronaut Terry Virts also entered the race for the American Senate as a Democratic candidate.

Former representative Beto O’Rourke, who narrowly lost against Cruz in 2018 and then run without success for the 2020 presidential appointment and was defeated by the Republican Governor Greg Abbott in the elections of Governors of Texas in 2022, faces another race in the Senate next year.

Democratic representative Joaquin Castro, who for more than a decade has represented a congress district in San Antonio has also expressed his interest.

In the race for the appointment of the Republican Senate, the representative with three Wesley Hunt mandates, a Star from Maga up which represents a district of the Houston region, also reflects on a Senate race. Sources have confirmed to Fox News earlier this year that Hunt had pleaded for the political team of President Donald Trump according to which he is the only person who can gain both a GOP primary and a general election.
