DEM reveals the bill to rage against the use of military drones to look at the demonstrations

A Democrat in the Chamber moves to prevent the Trump administration from being able to use military quality drones to monitor demonstrations in the United States
Representative Jimmy Gomez, D-Calif., Presented the bill in response to the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) which would have used Drones MQ-9 Reaper to monitor demonstrations in Los Angeles this year.
“The US government should never use military drones to spy on its own people. Not under Trump. Not under person,” Gomez told Fox News Digital in a statement.
“This bill would stop Trump’s abuses of power and remove these combat drones from our neighborhoods.”

The White House said it would not be ahead of President Donald Trump on pending legislation. Fox News Digital also contacted DHS to comment.
The demonstrations, some of which turned into violent riots, rocked Los Angeles for several days last month.
They began as demonstrations against immigration and customs application (ICE) implementing Trump’s repression against illegal immigrants in districts with a Hispanic or Latin predominance in the city of southern California.

Images of burning cars and demonstrators come up against the police quickly became viral across the country, the Republicans and the Democrats blame themselves for a tensions.
Like other Democrats at the time, Gomez criticized Trump for sending the National Guard to Los Angeles to take control of the situation, despite the objections of Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.
“What Trump does to Los Angeles is a dangerous abuse of power. It degenerates tensions, puts life in danger and violates our constitutional values. We are united – not only as Californians, but as a merchans – because if it can happen in Los Angeles, it can happen anywhere in the country,” wrote Gomez on X at the time.

Its district includes important parts of Los Angeles and is entirely located inside the County of Los Angeles.
It is unlikely that the house under republican control will take its new bill, which has been referred to the Chamber’s judicial committee.
