EXCLUSIVE: Governor Glenn Youngkin fell in love with the Republicans in Virginia Violette, a state that had not supported a GOP governor for more than a decade and has not sent republican to the Senate since 2009. Now, Lieutenant-Governor WinSome-Sears hopes to repeat the feat-but can it be done?
Dave Brat, a former member of the Virginie Congress and member of the House Freedom Caucus, says that this can.
Brat amazed the political world a decade ago when he overthrew the majority leader in the Eric Cantor Chamber in a republican primary, no one thought he could win. He says that his oppressed game book could hold the key to Earle-Sears while faced a steep climb against the Democrat Abigail Spanberger in this year’s governor’s race.
Ten years ago, Brat was a teacher of economics at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland when he launched his candidacy for Cantor, R-VA. – Then a future potential president of the room.
Ossu 40: 1, Brat campaigned without discouraging and kept its little government and its basic message which included cantor themes that are too in -depth in Washington and criticized the opening of traditional Republicans to the amnesty of immigration. He shocked the political world by beating Cantor by more than 10 points and finally winning the general elections.
This victory, Brat told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview, shows that Republicans can still challenge expectations in Virginia – if they stick to clear populist problems that resonate with voters. “Winstome must be very intelligent to choose some key problems where she thinks they will win,” he said.
In 2021, the director of businesses at the time, Glenn Youngkin – who, like Brat, was a political novice – defeated political -opposite winds against the former Terry McAuliffe High Level Governor – winning the GOP governor for the first time in more than a decade. In November, Earle-Sears is the same luck, said Brat.

“Youngkin entered the key question of children in the bathrooms and all the madness of the school and which is responsible for it. And it is unfortunately with us,” said Brat.
“Winstome is a very good person. And part of this lies at the feet of the voters.”
But Brat also criticized his own party, accusing Virginia’s Republicans of relying too much on donors rather than basic supporters.
Virginia’s Youngkin approves WinSome Earle-Sears for the Governor
“The Republican Party of Virginia (has had) a model well established for about 40 years. Checkbuks only support editors. They never support the base,” he said.
“Everyone says:” Oh, I like the Commonwealth “, but the editors are not there, and we need it.”
Virginia’s Republican Party replied that he remains firmly behind his candidate.
“Our candidates remain united in their struggle for Virginie families who work hard. All our concentration and our energy aim to highlight the successes of the Youngkin-Sears-Miyare administration and to exhibit radical radical policies by Abigail Spanber and Virginia Democrats,” said the spokesperson.
Brat also painted the message of democrats and recent political posture as unpopular when voters are informed, citing Spanberger’s answers to current controversies such as transgender bathroom policies in schools, that Earle-Sears is hammering in its awareness.
“Once again, all my own political opinions, but an old CIA person (Spanberger) who will not say basic things on the Judeo -Christian tradition, values, boys can be girls, schools can take your child, and they can change the sex of your child without (parental intervention), and she cannot make a strong comment on this subject – I mean, who tells you.

While Clinton’s confidant, James Carville, may have claimed “it is the economy, stupid” as the upper electoral axiom, Brat noted that the subtleties often take “too much time to explain”.
“We had 20% inflation under Biden in these four years. Under Trump … It is half a percentage point,” he said when he asked how Spanberger continues to hammer the life and economic problems that the social problems highlighted by Earle-Sears.
“Thus, (Spanberger) can say that.
“We are in favor of the private sector. Spanberger is in favor of socialist policies and the growing government. And the” fascist “label that the left uses: you cannot be a” fascist “if you are for a small government. It is therefore a problem. So, it should swing them quickly.”
Like Youngkin, said Brat, Earle-Sears needs the vote of the “suburban mother”, suggesting that fighting cultural wars may well.
“If the suburban mother turns, we win when leaving,” he said. “I think she can win.”
