EXCLUSIVE: The republican Curtis Sliwa, who presents himself for the mayor of New York, the exploded socialist opponent Zohran Mamdani for what he says to be hypocrisy with regard to the armed security that Mamdani has appreciated in recent weeks.
“It is very interesting that, on his return from Uganda today, he is recovered by the armed police from NYPD who ensure security 24 hours a day,” Sliwa told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “So, in a typical political way, that’s why I don’t trust politicians.” Do what I say, but not like me. “He is protected by the armed NYPD, but he wants social workers for everyone.”
Mamdani was strongly criticized for his previous calls to finance the police during the riots of George Floyd 2020, saying that “nature heals” in response to a police officer who cries in his car and label the NYPD as “racist”.
Mamdani also suggested sending mental health agents to crime calls when he is protected by the New York police service while he presents himself to the mayor. THE New York Post reported That while Mamdani was in his family complex in Uganda to celebrate his marriage, the property was protected by a strongly armed security.
“ Culture of shame ”: the member of the council of NYC seems to be alarmed on the voters of Mamdani who fall for “pipe dream”

“”I could have had a police detail. I said, “No, we need them to protect people in the streets,” Sliwa told Fox News Digital. “I still proposed it as a major candidate, the republican candidate, and unlike Zohran Mamdani, who could not wait to take armed security police from the NYPD, again I am in the films, I am on the street. Let the police go out and protect people.
“And isn’t it ironic, when he came from Uganda, when he was there, he was protected by armed commandos carrying weapons charged with AK-47 with masks. So, again, the moralizing hypocrite,” do what I say, but not as I do. “If social workers would have answered that Madman enters the facilities of this Park Avenue building, they would have been reduced in a hail of bullets. It is absolute madness.”
Sliwa also criticized Mamdani for his previous commitment To dissolve the strategic response group of the New York Police Department (SRG), which was a unit that responded to the Midtown shootout earlier this week which left four dead before the shooter made a weapon on himself.

“”This was based on the fact that they are also affected each time the pro-Palestinian demonstrations go out, and they sing, “ from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free ” and they promote jihad, “said Sliwa, pointing to Mamdani key problem Both on the campaign campaign and for elected national democrats.
“Zohran Mamdani will let them take control of the city. Let’s face it, they will probably be part of its administration,” said Sliwa. “Curtis Sliwa will stop them on their traces. They can legally demonstrate, but they must have a license. They must remain in an designated area, and they cannot violate the rights of other citizens who may disagree with them either.”

Fox News Digital contacted the Mamdani campaign to comment.
Mamdani answered questions about his comments in opposition to the police at a press conference on Wednesday, where he tried to distance himself from his calls to finance the police.
“Looking at the detention crisis that we have in the city today, to try to identify it on tweets five years ago, as opposed to the conditions of that moment, it is to ignore what the officers themselves say,” said Mamdani, praising the NYPD officer who was killed during the recent Midtown shooting.
The 33 -year -old socialist said on several occasions that his past tweets were “clearly out of step” with the current landscape and said they had been made of “frustration” on the death of George Floyd.
Mamdani also defended her NYPD security details, saying: “My life is unfortunately not the one she was. There are many more threats, and with this comes from the precautions that I do not want to take. Although this is also precautions for which I am extremely grateful, especially in the example of the details of Nypd that I have here in New York.”
