The former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, have targeted in separate interviews, while everyone is trying to position themselves as the right choice for those who do not want their far left opponent Zohran Mamdani to be the next mayor of the city.
During a Saturday breakfast event in the Hamptons organized by the businessman and conservative radio host John Catsimatidis, Cuomo took a veiled shot on Adams by arguing that New York did not have a “competent” mayor since Michael Bloomberg left his functions in 2013, the New York Post reported.
Cuomo – who, like Adams, presents himself as independent against the Democratic candidate Mamdani and the Republican Curtis Sliwa – added that the city “currently feels out of control”.
Adams, on the other hand, did not hesitate to criticize Cuomo while making his own business as a choice for the moderates and the conservatives who do not want the democratic socialist Mamdani.

“Andrew Cuomo flee his record. Reform lease. I had to solve this cannabis problem. I had to solve this problem.
“You watch my record, then you compare it to his file. I had to repair his mess. He created a disorder for our city, and I was able to repair it,” added the mayor.
Mamdani’s incapacity to go back these positions could cause a calculation in the Democratic Party: “ Harning to five alarms’ ”

The two men also took their fair share of shots in Mamdani.
Cuomo warned that he “would move to Florida” if Mamdani was elected, although his campaign insisted on the post that it was a joke.
“Governor Cuomo would never give up in New York,” Cuomo spokesperson Rich Azzopardi told the newspaper. “That said, the line highlighted the issues in the next elections and the risk of electing a 33-year-old socialist dangerously inexperienced and soggy of hatred whose campaign is made up of slogans of stickers for bumper.”

“Look at the policies (from Mandani): once you have emptied Island Rikers, this is a major impact,” Adams told the New York Post, referring to Mamdani’s plan to reduce the prison population. “It will return to the communities of this crime.”
Adams, a former police officer, then criticized Mamdani’s plan to have the calls for domestic violence responded rather than the police.
Adams referred to the NYPD officer, Wilbert Mora, 27, and his partner Jason Rivera, 22, who were shot dead by responding to a call for domestic violence in 2022.
“Mora and Rivera, the two cops that were killed at the start of my career (mayor), they died and were murdered by responding to a call for domestic violence,” said Adams.
Fox News Digital contacted the Adams, Cuomo and Mamdani campaigns to comment, but they did not immediately respond.

Mamdani obtained democratic appointment last month, leaving the voters who are not among the excrement on the far left between two Democrats who became independent in Adams and Cuomo, and the Republican Sliwa.
