Despite a contrary report, the mayor’s campaign of former governor Andrew Cuomo told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that she did not expect anyone in the race for Gracie Mansion, including former President Donald Trump, despite a contrary report.
Play-York’s New York’s New York Book reported that Cuomo “counts” Trump to urge the Republicans to vote for the former governor instead of the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa, during the November town hall elections.
According to the audio obtained by the point of sale, Cuomo told a crowd of Hamptons on Saturday that Sliwa was not a “serious candidate” and Trump himself would say: “You will waste your vote on Sliwa”.
When he was contacted to comment on the report, Cuomo’s main advisor, Rich Azzopardi, explained that Cuomo responded to “what he heard was a hypothetical about the way she could become a breed for two people and speculated”.

Cuomo is New York’s “only chance” to defeat the Democratic candidate at the town hall, Zohran Mamdani, Cuomo’s campaign doubled on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sliwa moved away from the president, arguing that he would not be useful for Trump to intervene in the New York town hall race after The New York Times report That Trump spoke with Cuomo and his associates about how to defeat Mamdani in November.
Trump and Cuomo both denied that the telephone call had ever happened, and the former governor said he would not accept Trump approval.
The Republican candidate told Fox News Digital Tuesday morning that Cuomo’s campaign was “a mess” and said, “desperate people do desperate things”.
“It’s just sad that Andew Cuomo thinks that a Trump title will save him,” said Sliwa in a statement.

And Sliwa dragged Cuomo, arguing that “if he really left Hamptons”, he would see the impact of his policies on New Yorkers “, linking crime to his” disastrous law without cadrance “and his controversial Covid-19 policies.
Addressing journalists during a campaign event in Manhattan on Monday, Cuomo confirmed that he had attended fundraising at the home of the Jimmy Finkelstein media magnate in Southampton on Saturday.
But Cuomo denied that during fundraising, he discussed Trump with the former president of the New York municipal council, Andrew Stein, who co-organized the event in the Hamptons.
“Let’s say it this way: I knew the president very well,” said Cuomo in the Hamptons, according to Politico, before adding: “I think there will be opportunities to cooperate with him. I also think he will not want to fight with me in New York if he can avoid it.”
The comments followed the Mamdani a week’s anti-Trump tour through the five arrondissements of New York. Day after day, the self-proclaimed Democratic socialist highlighted the way in which Trump’s second term of the second term of the New Yorker impacts, while working to link Cuomo to Trump.

Mamdani’s campaign seized the last reports, publishing on Tuesday morning a statement arguing that “Andrew Cuomo was made in the act”.
“Since he is too afraid to say it to the faces of New Yorkers, we will clearly do it: Andrew Cuomo is Donald Trump’s choice for the mayor,” said the Mamdani campaign spokesperson Dora Pekec.
Cuomo’s campaign quickly replied, the caller “silly”.
“Mamdani clearly tries to divert questions of answer” on his own file, including his support for the decriminalization of prostitution, for which Cuomo held a press conference criticizing on Monday.

Mamdani said he would be Trump’s “worse nightmare” if he was elected in November. Trump repeatedly criticized Mamdani, calling him “100% communist”.
The White House rejected the idea that Trump plans to get involved in the race.
“As President Trump has said it several times, he does not intend to get involved or to make an approval in the race for New York town hall,” said the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt in Fox News Digital in a statement.
Cuomo lost the democratic primary against Mamdani in June, but decided to stay in the race as an independent candidate.
In recent weeks before the Mayoral Party primary of the New York Democratic Party, when he seemed to walk to capture the appointment of his party, Cuomo concentrated the projectors of his campaign on Trump.
“Trump comes for New York. Who can you stop it?” The narrator in an announcement of the Cuomo campaign said that images of the June riot in Los Angeles launched by the repression of Trump’s immigration.

“Trump is at the gates of the city. We need someone to experience them,” said the narrator when he suggested that Cuomo was the most experienced candidate to push the president’s agenda.
Cuomo is committed, if he was elected mayor, to protect the city of New York from what he suggested could be a future federal repression possible against immigration demonstrations in the city. And he swore to set up a national campaign to try to thwart Trump’s agenda.
Mamdani’s superb victory over Cuomo and nine other candidates last month to capture the appointment of the Democratic Party rocked the mayor’s race in the most populous city in the country.
And as Cuomo resets that he presents himself in the mayor’s general elections as an independent candidate, the references to Trump fell.
