Cuomo brings together Manhattan’s commercial support against Mamdani in the town hall race

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo met at least 80 business leaders in Manhattan on Tuesday while pressing support against the candidate of the Democrat mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, increases with less than two months until the election day.

While the last survey indicates the opposite, while Cuomo only acts 24% of the votes when Adams and Sliwa stay in the race, a person who attended Tuesday meeting with business leaders told Fox News that Cuomo said he could win even if Adams stayed in the race. Cuomo defended this assertion by addressing journalists on Tuesday.

Cuomo said it was not only businessmen who attended Tuesday morning meeting, but “people from all overview” who are “worried about the possibility that Mamdani wins”.

“There is no comparison. It is like being in a ring with Muhammad Ali against an amateur,” said the businessman to Fox News Digital, defending that Cuomo “knows what he is doing” and “will get these people out of the street” and “put them in mental institutions”.

Marc Altheim, the owner of the Yoga studio, Know Yoga Know Bliss, in Manhasset, NY, spoke to Fox News leaving the meeting with Cuomo on Tuesday morning. He said he was previously the founding partner of a real estate development company, Atlantic Development Group, in New York.

“I am here becauserew is obviously the best candidate to direct this city. I am very concerned that New York is decimated if the other guy takes office. And I think he is very, very important that people understand what Andrew is talking about. It is to create a better, safer from New York. He’s for the police.

Altheim added that Mamdani has “no idea what he does”.

“He has never succeeded. So for me, I want a mayor who is competent. I don’t want someone who only pays lips and gives things for free,” he said, while adding that it is time for Adams to leave the race.

Cuomo’s thrust to consolidate support against Mamdani also comes while another independent candidate Jim Walden abandoned the race last week and urged the other candidates to To unite against Mamdani.
