Connecticut man rescued after being stuck in the primary school slide

A man from Connecticut was saved from a slippery situation.

An unidentified 40 -year -old man found himself stuck inside a tube slide in a primary school playground in Vernon, Connecticut, on August 16.

Just after 4.30 p.m., the fire service of the city of Vernon, Vernon EMS and the Vernon police service responded and were sent to Northeast primary school, according to an article on Facebook of the fire service.

The first units that arrived found the man stuck head first in the middle part of the slide.

Additional help has been requested, including a fire truck, a 141 rescue and a 541 tower.

Man received ventilation and oxygen via EMS because he would have been “extremely discomfort” in hot summer temperatures.

“While Rescue 141 deployed tools for extraction, Tower 541 has set up next to the playground on the grass and used the aerial scale as a highest point to stabilize the section of the slide that firefighters withdrew to reach the patient,” said the Facebook fire service.

In the 30 minutes, the man was released after the speakers were able to remove the lower section of the slide, dividing it in half.

The man would have refused treatment and transport to an emergency room.

“Although it is a unique call for service for fire service, the professionalism shown on the scene was exemplary,” reflected Vernon’s fire service in Facebook publication, which has received the viral attention from the public.

A Facebook user commented: “The new fear unlocked. Congratulations to this man to be active with his children and to teach me a precious lesson on tube slides.”
