The Chinese space program made a major stride last week, because two of its satellites apparently started together in what could have been the country’s first high altitude attempt to fill up on satellite in orbit.

The SHIJIAN-21 and Shijian-25 satellites seemed to agree last week last week at more than 20,000 miles above the planet in geosynchronous orbit, in which the orbital period of a satellite corresponds to the rhythm of the rotation of the earth, according to the press Ars Technica.

While Chinese officials have not recently published updates on the two satellites, trackers of civil satellites have shown that Shijian-21 and Shijian-25 are getting closer before distinguishing themselves from each other, Ars Technica reported.

These two satellites mooring geosynchronous orbit could indicate that China has the potential to deactivate the satellite of another country in space, Ars Technica reported.

However, the American spatial force was also interested in orbital supplies because military satellites often have limited fuel supplies. The military branch should make its very first supply of an American military asset in orbit next summer.

US officials may have taken note of the apparent mooring by China last week, while two of the satellites of the space force inspector seemed to get closer to Shijian-21 and Shijian-25 after the maneuver, Ars Technica reported.

The geosynchronous orbit, which is located at an altitude of around 22,236 miles, is popular among military and commercial satellites, as this means that they have a fixed view of the planet and can provide military forces such as the first warnings of missile attacks, according to Ars Technica.

China accuses us of “transforming space into a war zone” with the Trump Golden Dome anti -missile defense project

In April, General Space Force, Chance Saltzman, described the explosive advances of China in space as “astounding” and warned that the United States was on the path of the loss of its domination in orbit.

Testifying to the Bipartite Bipartite Commission, Saltzman said China “Investing strongly” in weapons on the ground and in space base designed to deactivate enemy satellites, including kinetic strikes, radio-frequency scramble and directed energy weapons.

China has also increased its military spending by 7% this year, storing anti-satellite missiles and claiming to have directed energy weapons that use concentrated energy bundles to blur satellite signals.

The American space force and NASA did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
