“It is absolutely one of the most ridiculous things, and they embarrass us on the world scene,” said Cleaver. “Because we are there, the citadel of democracy, and very clearly erasing a little of this” D “every day when we send troops to Washington, DC, when Mayor Bowser did not ask for them.”

But DC prosecutor Brian Schwalb continued the administration earlier this week in order to withdraw the district national guard.
“We should not use the guard for this, but we should coordinate our federal partners locally,” said senator Peter Welch, D-VT.
His trial came in the heels of a judge who ruled that Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles earlier this year was illegal. Schwalb argued in his pursuit that a law of the 1870s prevents interior police troops.
“It’s just a matter of common sense,” said senator John Hoeven, RN.D. “And I think that the Democrats should reach out by saying,” Great, how do we work together to make sure that the district is as sure as possible in favor of everyone? “”

Senator Martin Heinrich, DN.M., noted that the deployment of the National Guard in his country of origin had helped the police. Earlier this year, the Democratic Governor of New Mexico Michelle Lujan Grisham called on state custody to help local police fight fentanyl and juvenile crime.
But Heinrich replied that the use of troops by Trump did not really aim to safeguard the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
“I fear that what we see at DC does not really support police activities and is more distraction of the Epstein situation,” he said.
