Candidate for the silent socialist mayor after a border patrol pulled by an illegal immigrant in New York

The candidate for the socialist town hall of New York, Zohran Mamdani, remained silent almost two days after a border patrol officer on leave was shot in the face, allegedly by an illegal immigrant previously expelled in his city.

Mamdani’s publications and social media website show no public declaration on the issue, which has become a new national and has sparked a broader discussion on the border policies of President Joe Biden and the criticism of sanctuary cities.

Fox News Digital contacted Mamdani’s campaign to comment but did not immediately hear.

According to the police, the suspect, the Dominican national Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, was seen on video leaving a scooter before approaching the officer when he was seated and spoke to someone near a body of water. The officer has not yet been identified.

The officer, who was not in uniform, released a firearm to protect himself, and a shooting enlisted.

The agent was struck in the face and the forearm and transported to a hospital, where he is currently in a stable state. He should survive.

Nunez was shot in the leg and groin during the shooting, police said. He was deposited in a Bronx hospital, according to the authorities.

“Politicians of the sanctuary must condemn this violence and first put the safety and security of our citizens. Do not be mistaken: these illegal criminal foreigners have supported relaxation, but Zohran Mamdani, and other political politicians in this country were blood on the hands”.

“Secretary Noem calls on each politician at all levels of government to abandon these reckless and lawless policies and to stop playing Russian roulette with American life. DHS will continue to flood the area in sanctuary cities and to remove these criminals one by one,” she added.

DHS also told Fox News that Nunez had an active mandate for removal in the Massachusetts state, In addition to previous arrests for crime.
