California announces special redistribution elections in direct response to the Plan of Texas Gop

While the controversy surrounding the Redecipation of Texas Redecouption is still raging, the governor of California Gavin Newsom and the former lecturer of the Chamber, Nancy Pelosi, announced Friday that the Golden State was going forward with a plan for a special election in early November to place his own news plan on a voting measure.

Newsom said this decision was a counterpunion in Texas and was made transparently, but that the Democrats would likely come to take five seats if the measure is adopted. The plan would allow Democrats to temporarily bypass the State independent redistribution commission and to adopt a new Congress card before the 2026 elections.

“We are talking about emergency measures to respond to what is going on in Texas and we will cancel what is happening in Texas,” said Newsom at a press conference on Friday flanked by several California legislators and certain Democrats in Texas who fled their state.

“We will take five seats with people’s consent. And this is the difference between the approach we adopt and the approach they adopt,” said Newsom. “We do it on a temporary basis. We do it in a completely transparent way and we do so by asking the inhabitants of the State of California their consent and their support.”

California is said to be the first state led by Democrats to actively start the process of passing new district lines of the congress before mid-term of 2026 in response to the Rediscovement Pushed from Texas.

Newsom said the Democrats did until August 22 to get the measure on the ballot and that he repressed against President Donald Trump and Texas Greg Abbott to justify this decision.

“Greg Abbott, who does not have the courage, is not the backbone, is not aware of the consequences of his actions … is now composed for new seats,” said Newsom on Friday, referring to the push of the Governor of Texas for a recistration card in mid-December and a call with President Trump.

“The agenda (of Trump) fails. His presidency has failed. He knows the winds in mid-term. It is now composed for the seats.”

The Texas Republicans, encouraged by the Trump administration, are pursuing a Congress card to add to five GOP districts, which caused a fierce reaction and a counter-action. The Democrats of Texas fled the Star Solitaire to Democrats to break the quorum and stop the vote.

The Texas Chamber requires that a two -thirds quorum of the members present to lead official affairs and state legislators declared that they were planning to be absent from the state until the end of August, at the end of the special session.

The Democrats of Texas argue that the redistribution plan of their state is unconstitutional and in no way support.

Pelosi defended Texas’s ranging, calling it “self -defense for our democracy”.

She said the Democrats would not leave Trump “paver” free and fair elections in the country.

The president of Texas de la Chambre, Dustin Burrows, signed arrest warrants on Monday against the absent democrats, following the Chamber of State approving these mandates and the governor Greg Abbott appealing to the Department of Public Security of Texas to arrest the “Démocrats delinquents du Texas House”. Stop mandates are largely considered symbolic that they only apply to those in state lines.

California’s state president Robert Rivas, a Democrat, said cards would be available next week.

“Once these cards have been published, voters will have the opportunity to digest these cards, to revise them for weeks and months leading to this election,” he said.
