Erika Kirk praises the support of the second lady after the husband’s assassination

At the commemorative service on Sunday for the founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, his widow, Erika Kirk, shared a moment of comfort she received from the second Lady Usha Vance in the aftermath of her assassination, calling her as a “precious woman”.
Erika Kirk explained how she confided in Vance on the way she did not know how she could bear the loss of her husband and the father of their two children. Vance has offered an analogy over the last 15 minutes of a turbulent plane stroll, while a parent may think is to switch to landing.

The second lady “told me that you will spend these 15 minutes and the next 15 minutes after that,” said Erika Kirk. “Usha, I don’t think you realized it then, but these words were exactly what I needed to hear.”

Vice-president JD Vance also addressed the crowded crowd of the Glendale State Farm Stadium, Arizona, earlier in the evening, paying a moving tribute to his nearby friend.
“They tried to silence our dear friend Charlie Kirk,” said JD Vance. “And tonight, we are talking with Charlie and for Charlie, stronger than ever.”

The vice-president welcomed Charlie Kirk’s unshakable defense of the family and traditional values as the foundation of a prosperous society.

“Charlie brought the truth that young people deserve to put (in) the future and that they deserve to have a voice,” said JD Vance.
But JD Vance stressed that Charlie Kirk’s real heritage was not only in what he said publicly, but in the life he lived daily.

“Charlie, he did much more than telling the truth. He lived it,” said JD Vance, adding that the passion of the conservative activist for history and the ideas gave him a vision of the future of America.
“In this, he showed us all how to continue after his death,” concluded the vice-president.

Charlie Kirk was a close confidant of JD Vance, both personally and politically. The founder of Turning Point USA was considered by JD Vance as having been essential in the decision of President Donald Trump to choose him as a running mate during the 2024 elections.
After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, JD Vance and Usha Vance accompanied Erika Kirk on board the Air Force Two to return her coffin to Arizona. In Salt Lake City, the vice-president walked along the draped coffin of his friend when he was transported through the Tarmac.

JD Vance also replaced his “dear friend” on “The Charlie Kirk Show” where he also expressed his thoughts on his assassination.
