The mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, concluded his internal investigation into the presence of the Chicago police during an ICE operation of June 4 which led to an uproar within the entirely democratic municipal council, the ABC affiliate of the city reported Wednesday.

The investigation was led by the deputy mayor of the rights of immigrant-migrants-refugees Beatriz Ponce de Leon.

The mayor’s office has published several recommendations, including the COPA’s additional empowerment, the “civilian office of police responsibility”, to investigate whether “the welcoming order of the city” of Chicago – that criticisms consider a policy of the city of the sanctuary – have been raped.

The order guarantees that municipal services are provided to illegal citizens and immigrants and prohibit the notification of detentions in recognition and cooperation with ice.

Another conclusion was that the Chicago police should be required to carry out their own internal examination, according to several reports.

The police said that they had arrived at the scene in the southern loop on June 4 in response to the 911 calls concerning a protest against ice operations – and that they had simply acted in a capacity to ensure public security.

Ten people who had gone to a federal office for routine immigration vouchers were detained by the federals that day, according to the Chicago-Sun Times.

Several aldermen also presented themselves after reports on sudden detentions.

“We have seen a number of community residents, family members and neighbors while waiting to discover the status of family members who had been detained in this establishment,” said ALD. Anthony Quezada told the newspaper.

However, Ice told ABC affiliate at the time that all detained persons were subject to “executable final orders” issued by immigration judges and had not been compliant.

Three aldermen, including Quezada, would have seated on the ground and would have blocked an ice cream van from the exit during chaos.
