Dara Shoman Advanced Rhythmic Ships Embrace Intuition

Experience driving force in Dara ShomanCeramic practice. From its studio in Chicago, the artist evokes amazing geometric shapes that appear stacked, ribbed and almost an architecture. With an atmosphere of enlightened reaction in its modern style in the middle of the century, the volumetric vessels with a stone jewel do not flow on the bold blue in the deep red, mug and smoky blue.
“Over time, I found that my best pieces come from exploration instead of control,” the artist explains. When sitting in front of the pottery, Shoman allows her ideas to melt before being allowed to take over the subconscious. “Leaving the clay guides me is what I enjoy most in the means,” and it is involved.
When Shoman discovers the methods and suggestions that are committed, these processes are used as a momentum to find out the ability to pay both clay and its skills. Often, this approach naturally leads to work bodies in which the repetitive pieces feel harmonious.

Schuman is currently enthusiastic about lighting and experimenting with necklace lamps and carved lamps. It also works on a series of cups Store update Next month. Find more artist on her Website and Instagram.
