Bernie Sanders quotes 84 years as a factor against 2028 presidential run

Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT., Examined if he would present himself again as the presidency in 2028 during an interview broadcast on Sunday on the “Union State” of CNN.

“Don’t worry about this,” he told Dana Bash. “I’m going to be 84 years old next month, in fact. I think it talks about itself.”

Sanders said that “what is more important” is educating, organizing and giving “people in the working class a program” to understand that “we can, in fact, provide a decent standard of living to all our people”.

Bash suggested to Sanders that without leadership, a “very hungry and energetic base with an idea of what they want” will not mention the change.

The senator has remained firm that “strong basic movements will give birth to the appropriate leadership”. He did not want to name anyone he supports politically to “take” what Bash called “the coat of Bernie Sanders”.
