A demonstrator was arrested by Victoria police, but was released and made a summons.

SBS News also pointed out that the Victoria police investigated a third incident, in which the offenders set fire to three vehicles, destroying one and painted a wall nearby. A police commander refused to say if the content of the painting was anti -Semitic but described the three incidents as containing “anti -Semitism inferences”.

Alex Ryvchin, co-PDG of the Executive Council of the Australian Jew (ECAJ), published a declaration on X and urged “all sides of politics and all the Australians to condemn these deplorable crimes”.

“Those who sing death are not peace militants. Those who burn prayer houses with families inside do not seek war,” said Ryvchin.
