Auburn’s male basketball coach Bruce Pearl paid tribute to Charlie Kirk when he appeared on “Do’T @ me” from Outkick with Dan Dakich on Friday.

Kirk was murdered on Wednesday, and Pearl was one of the many sports figures to offer prayers in the aftermath of his death.

“Charlie was a man of faith. He knew where he was going when his time came. I know it was not what he was planning, because he had so much to live here,” Pearl started.

“He lived, I think, the most important renewal that took place in our country, and it was young people, conservatives and Christians who were on fire for God, who are on fire for Jesus, who is on fire for this country to help get involved in service and the process, and also began to see that we take so different from our DNA and the family and the right to life.

Pearl then torn “the opposition” for the political attack on Kirk because “they could not beat him” in a debate.

I think the reason why they become more violent, it is because, as Charlie Kirk proved it whenever he discussed and discussed, he was on the side of the right, he was on the side of the good, he was on the side of the precise history for most of what he spoke, and they could not beat him.

“They murdered it. They murdered it. They eliminated him. But what they did not achieve is that they did not do it. Because he will live through us who followed him, who learns from him.

“Here is the business … None of us could touch Charlie. He had a different gift, and we will sorely miss.”
