The political earthquake that rocked the Democratic Party when Zohran Mamdani won New York last month won his way to Washington, DC, while Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., joined Mamdani during a “skills breakfast and communication” Wednesday morning.

Ocasio-Cortez, the progressive champion and the youngest woman elected to the Congress, was an early Enterosseur of Mamdani, the so-called 33-year-old democratic socialist who has not yet won the main Democratic leaders of New York.

The representative of the Bronx and Queens campaigned with Mamdani in New York before his main victory last month, and Wednesday, the member of “Squad” welcomes Mamdani in the national capital.

Ocasio-Cortez and Mamdani were to welcome breakfast at 8 am from the National Democratic Club. While the National Democratic Committee (DNC) is located right next to the place where the breakfast is taking place on Wednesday, the DNC said that it was not involved in the event.

A few minutes before the start of breakfast, the location was moved to a restaurant with a few blocks.

Ocasio-Cortez confirmed the breakfast meeting on Tuesday, telling journalists that she was impatient that people meet him “face to face” and “hear what he has to say on the appointment in New York affordable for workers”, while defending problems such as rental freezes, affordable daycare and grocery prices.

“I think a lot of people just need to know people before they made an approval. I hope this conversation can be constructive to bring the party together and come together behind our candidate,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

Mamdani has not yet obtained the approvals of two best Democrats in New York – the leader of the House minority, representative Hakeem Jeffries and the head of the Senate minorities, Senator Chuck Schumer.

“I am delighted to go to Washington, DC, to speak with the member of the Jeffries congress, to speak with Senator Schumer, to speak with the leaders of our party across the country,” said Mamdani on Tuesday.

But while Mamdani is impatient to meet Jeffries and Schumer in Washington, no meeting of this type has been reported.

When Fox News asked Schumer if he met Mamdani in Washington on Wednesday, he said: “I spoke to him last night and I will meet in New York.”

And Monday, Jeffries told journalists: “I am planned to meet the Democratic candidate at the end of the week at my house in Brooklyn.”

Last month, New York Democrats congratulated Mamdani for obtaining democratic appointment and confirmed that they had discussions with the young socialist, who would be the first Muslim mayor in New York if they were elected in November.

Representative Adriano Espailt, DN.Y., approved Mamdani last week after supporting former governor Andrew Cuomo in primary school. Cuomo announced on Monday his decision to stay in the town hall race as an independent.

“We went beyond the primary and the residents of New York spoke,” said Epsaillat on Thursday. “If there is a common denominator in each decision I have made since I started to represent this district, in terms of support for someone, this is called the Democratic Party.”

Ocasio-Cortez agreed that democrats are “stronger when we are united” when they speak with journalists on Tuesday.

“Zohran Mamdani is the Democratic candidate for the mayor of New York, and as a Democrat, I come together behind our candidate,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

Representative Tom Suozzi, DN.Y., said that he would not attend the Ocasio-Cortez breakfast on Wednesday. Suozzi, a moderate, has become a vocal opponent of Mamdani’s campaign among the Democrats in New York.

But representative Debbie Dingell, D-Michigan, attended the breakfast meeting and told journalists leaving that Mamdani had managed to use social media on the campaign track. Dingell also blamed the media for what she said to be the rhetoric that Democrats are heading towards socialism.

California Ro Khanna representative, a leading progressive legislator who is considered a potential democratic presidential candidate in 2028, journalists left the meeting that Mamdani was “very impressive”.

And representative Nydia Velázquez, a New York Democrat who approved Mamdani, told journalists leaving the meeting that “it’s just it’s beautiful to have someone who is so authentic, you know, that money cannot buy this. And, we have had a great conversation”.

Representative Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., Confirmed that he was planning to attend the breakfast on Wednesday. While Moskowitz admitted that he had “large disagreements” with Mamdani on politics, he said he wanted to learn to carry out a successful digital campaign.

Meanwhile, returning to the White House, Peter DOOCY from Fox News asked President Donald Trump if he was invited to breakfast.

“I would love being,” said Trump. “I would really love going there. I mean, I can’t wait to meet them both.”

But Trump reiterated his assertion that Mamdani is “a communist. I don’t think our country is ready for a communist, but we will see. And I don’t think this breed is still finished either.”

Trump added that he thinks Cuomo should stay in the race because “he has a blow”.

“He presents himself against a communist. I think he would have a good chance of winning,” said Trump.

The Mamdani campaign was quick to seize Trump’s comments on Tuesday.

“We would like to congratulate Andrew Cuomo for having won Donald Trump’s approval. Obviously, this triumph is talking about himself. The question is now whether Cuomo will publicly adopt Trump’s support or will continue to accept it in private,” said Jeffrey Lerner, spokesperson for Mamdani’s campaign, in a statement.

The Republicans were relentlessly trying to anchor Mamdani with Democrats across the country who present themselves in competitive races in the elections this year and halfway up next year.

Asked earlier this week if Mamdani gives additional ammunition of the GOP in their messaging battle, the president of the National Republican Committee (RNC), Michael Whatley, said “absolutely”.

“I mean, it’s the face of the New Democratic Party,” said Whatley in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

“Everyone who wants to direct this party want to lead him to the left. They are moving away from the American public right now to a fairly fast clip.”

The National Committee of the Republican Congress, which aims to protect the thin majority of the GOP razor in the halfway up next year House, has repeatedly linked the Democrats to Mamdani.

“The Radical Socialist Zohran Mamdani is not only the future of the Democratic Party, he is the Democratic Party. On the campaign track, we will make sure that each voter knows that the Democrats of the Chamber share his far left program. They can try to get away with it, but they have already folded the knee.”
