The jurors of Fort Pierce, Florida, should start the deliberations on Tuesday on the federal criminal charges against Ryan Routh, the man accused of having tried to assassinate the candidate at the presidential time Donald Trump to its golf course in Florida last year.
Routh, who represented himself in the federal criminal trial, ended his defense after less than a day on Monday. He called only three witnesses and said to the judge of the US district Aileen Cannon that he would not take the position to testify in his own case, a notion which he had previously considered.
The accusation and the defense officially rested their business at 2:20 p.m., and Cannon ordered the court to reconcile to close the arguments on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Prosecutors and Routh will in turn present their closing arguments to the jurors, immediately followed by the deliberations of the jury, said Cannon, before instructing the jury on the deliberation process.

Cannon asked the jurors to examine whether the prosecutors have respected the standard for condemnation for each of the five federal accusations against Routh. The 59 -year -old man pleaded not guilty to all the counts, in particular by trying to assassinate a large presidential candidate, by assaulting a federal officer and in several infractions of firearms.
A verdict in the case could arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday, pending the duration of the closing arguments and the necessary deliberation time. If it is convicted, Routh could risk as much life prison as a maximum of life.

His defense “Pro” contrasts strongly with the prosecution, which spent almost two weeks with carefully and extemporaneously his file against Roth to a jury in Fort Pierce, Florida.
During this period, jurors heard 38 witnesses and examined hundreds of exhibitions – text messages, call newspapers, bank files and mobile phones – connecting Routh to the alleged purchase of firearms and placing it near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in the weeks preceding the alleged assassination attempt.
