FBI director Kash Patel is expected to testify on Wednesday before the chamber legislators in a hearing that should focus on the dramatic office reforms in the second Trump administration and the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Patel will face five -minute issues of the Republicans and Democrats in the Chamber’s Judicial Committee as part of an annual surveillance hearing, marking the second appearance of the director in as many days in Capitol Hill after testifying before the Senate a previous day.

The Republicans of the Chamber’s Judicial Committee have long focused on the government’s armaments at the FBI and should revive these concerns, which have long developed them during the mandate of the FBI director Christopher Wray, according to a familiar source with the plans.

Patel, on the other hand, is likely to deal with strong criticism and difficult issues on the part of the Democrats of the Chamber, which expressed this year the concerns concerning the controversial dismissals of senior FBI officials and the change of priorities to the FBI to the application of the Immigration Act, which is generally managed by the Ministry of Homeland Security.

Patel responded to similar concerns on the part of the Democrats of the Senate one day before, while they focused on the limited loss experience, the police and the accusations that the dismissals of senior FBI officials had occurred without an appropriate regular procedure.

“I’m not going anywhere,” said Patel on Wednesday. “If you want to criticize my 16 years of service, please bring it.”

The director is also likely to deal with bipartite questions on the FBI investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who involved a false step at an early stage of the firm before the suspect, Tyler Robinson, was apprehended some 33 hours after the incident.
