Aeroflot cancels dozens of flights after a pro-Ukrainian hacking attack

The Russian national airline Aeroflot was forced to cancel more than 40 flights on Monday after being struck by a cyber attack by a pro-Ukrainian group, according to reports.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Russia said it had launched a criminal investigation and that “surveillance measures had been organized as part of the delay and cancellation of flights at Sheremetyevo de (Moscow).”

“The cause was a failure of the functioning of the Aeroflot information system following a hacker attack,” added the office on Telegram.
