NFL legend Adrian Peterson He was seen falling over the wheel of his SUV on Sunday morning, just minutes before he was arrested on a DWI charge.
The former Minnesota Vikings star was spotted napping in the driver’s seat while at a Sugar Land, Texas, gas station. Says the witness who photographed the former footballer at the scene TMZ Sports The 40-year-old’s car engine was still running as he slept, and his phone was still in his hand.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to us that officers did find Peterson this way.
We’re told that when police responded to the scene, they removed him from the car and investigated him for possible drinking and driving.
Law enforcement sources say he showed signs of intoxication during interrogation… and later bombed field sobriety tests. We were also told that a gun was found inside his car.
It was Peterson I finally booked it To the Fort Bend County Jail on two separate charges – one count of DWI and one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
He was released late Monday afternoon, jail records show.
Peterson – who was arrested on suspicion of DWI Once before This year – he has yet to comment publicly on the matter.
