California’s Civil Liberties Civil Liberties (ACLU) has filed an in progress pursuit against the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) requesting an immediate stop of what he describes as illegal immigration raids in the Los Angeles region targeting migrants with “brown skin”.

The non -profit organization accuses immigration and customs application (ICE) of having carried out unconstitutional raids, then to keep migrants in inhuman conditions without beds and to deprive food and legal advice. Homeland Security denied all the allegations of the trial, saying that any accusation of racial profiling is “disgusting and categorically false”.

Ice has carried out radical raids since June 6, arresting around 1,500 immigrants, including workers of the Latino Day, Laves workers, agricultural workers and sellers – all in order to respond to certain arrest quotas, indicates the Habeas petition.

“The raids of this district follow a common and systematic scheme. Individuals with brown skin are approached or distant by unidentified federal agents, suddenly and with a demonstration of strength and facts to answer questions on whom they are and where they are,” said the trial.

“If they hesitate, try to leave or do not answer the questions to the satisfaction of the agents, they are detained, sometimes addressed, handcuffed and / or placed in police custody. In these interactions, agents generally have no prior information on the individual and no mandate of any kind.”

The trial accuses the federal government of keeping prisoners in a overcrowded detention center, called “B-18”, inside windowless parts which are extremely cramped.

“In these dungeon type installations, the conditions are deplorable and unconstitutional,” said the trial.

In addition to trying to block raids, the prosecution requires ice to refrain from using the B-18 center, as it is supposed to be a short-term ice treatment site and that the federal government is legally responsible for systemic racial profiling and violations of the regular procedure.

The defendants are the internal security secretary Kristi Noem, the acting director of the Ice Todd Lyons, the Attorney General Pam Bondi and the regional officials of the regional ice, the CBP and the FBI operating in Los Angeles.

The trial was filed by a coalition of individual immigrants and immigrant defense organizations, led by ACLU and the non -profit public council as well as other legal partners.

Los Angeles has become a battlefield to resist the electoral promise of President Donald Trump to achieve the biggest deportation raids in American history. The demonstrations in the city of angels last month went down to riots while masked agitators burned driver -free cars, damaged other properties and thrown rocks on law enforcement vehicles.

The trial is presented when 150 to 200 anti-glossy demonstrators closed the sixth street bridge in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon. The bridge connects downtown Los Angeles and Boyle Heights early.

The demonstrators transported panels with messages reading: “Ice sick!” And “Moratorium expulsion now!” while others have chanted “ic Out of la”

“This bridge was entry to Boyle Heights to kidnap the members of the community and take them who knows where,” said organizer Christian Alcaraz.

The demonstration was one of the many county gatherings on Tuesday as part of a day of action against immigration raids. In Koreatown, another rally took place.

Deputy Secretary of Internal Security, Tricia McLaughlin, refuted the complaints made in the trial.

“Any assertion that individuals were” targeted “by the police because of their skin color are disgusting and categorically false,” she said Fox 11 Via a statement on Wednesday, adding that the allegations of the trial were “garbage”.

She also denied the affirmations of poor conditions in ICE facilities.

“Any statement that there are subprime conditions in ICE detention centers is false,” said McLaughlin. “In fact, ice has higher standards of detention than most American prisons that hold real American citizens. All prisoners receive appropriate meals, medical treatment and have the possibility of communicating with lawyers and family members.”
