Sophia Forchas, who was killed in the head during the mass shot at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis on August 27, approaches constant.

“Each day, we discover new revelations of moments and circumstances which maintained it alive and made its recovery possible,” they wrote. “God heard our prayers and wrapped Sophia in his healing embrace.”

The Forchas family has brought itself thanks to the “extraordinary staff of Hennepin Healthcare in HCMC for their tireless dedication and their world class care”.

“To our extended family, to the Orthodox church, to our family of Annunciation schools, to our friends and colleagues, and to the many foreigners who have become warriors of prayer for Sophia, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” said the family.

A GoFundme page created for Sophia noted that Sophia’s younger brother was inside the school during the shooting but was not physically injured.

Sophia’s mother is a pediatric intensive care nurse who worked in Hennepin Healthcare when she discovered that her daughter was one of the wounded, according to AP.
