Senator Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, wants President Donald Trump to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The legislator presents A resolution Wednesday which declares the US Senate “calls the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award President Donald John Trump the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025”, “urges all nations who like peace to join this call” and “expresses his deepest appreciation to President Trump for having ended the nuclear program of Iran and hostilities concerning theater in 12 days.”

President Barack Obama received the prize in 2009, less than a year after taking office.

“Obama won the Nobel, then he killed hundreds of civilians and did nothing to stop Forever Wars,” said Moreno in a post On X. “Now, President Trump did what the neocons said could not be done-determine the nuclear installations of Iran and ensure a ceasefire. It is time to nam it formally.”

The representative Earl “Buddy” Carter, R-GA., Who presents himself for the American Senate, appointed Trump for the price this week.

In a letter of appointment, The Congress Member said he called Trump “in recognition of his extraordinary and historic role in the brokerage of the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and preventing the greatest sponsor of state -of -the -art terrorism from obtaining the most deadly weapon on the planet.”

“His leadership at the moment illustrates the very ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize is trying to recognize: the continuation of peace, the prevention of war and the progression of international harmony,” said Carter’s letter.
