Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT., Had remarks during a rally “Oligarchy of Combat” in Tusla, in Okla., Saturday evening, when President Donald Trump announced that the United States had managed to attack three nuclear sites in Iran.
An assistant interrupted Sanders’ remarks to transmit the message that Trump had just taken off on Truth Social.
“We finished our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan,” said Trump in the post.
Sanders read the piece of paper with Trump’s social post of truth to his supporters, shaking his head while the socialist senator dealt with what the president had just announced. “More wars!” The crowd sang.

Trump added to the post: “All the planes are now outside Iranian airspace. A complete payload of bombs has been abandoned on the main site, the Fordow. All the planes are safe on the way back. Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is not another soldier in the world that could have done this. Now for peace!
Sanders nodded while the crowd continued to sing, “More wars!” Before responding to real news.
He said that the news was not only “alarming”, but “so roughly unconstitutional”.
“You all know that the only entity that can bring this country to war is the US Congress. The president is not allowed,” Sanders cried.
Sanders joins the bipartite coalition at the Congress which called “unconstitutionality” of Trump hitting Iran without the approval of the Congress.
A bipartisan Resolution of war powers Was presented to the House of Representatives this week while strikes between Israel and Iran rage, and the world was held next to see if Trump would have struck. Congress has the sole power to declare war on Article I of the Constitution.

The resolution of war powers aims to “withdraw the armed forces in the United States from unauthorized hostilities in the Islamic State of Iran” and orders Trump to “end” the deployment of American troops against Iran without “declaration of war authorized or specific authorization for the use of military forces against Iran”.
“The American people do not want more war, more death!” Said Sanders. “It could be a good idea if we focus on the problems that exist in Oklahoma and Vermont rather than getting involved in another war than the American people do not want.”
But Sanders told the crowd not to abandon their vision of the future of America.
“At the moment of American history, which we have to do in Vermont and Oklahoma, in Texas, in all this country, is to get up and to retaliate and tell them that it is our country!” Said Sanders.
Sanders was a vocal opponent of the United States by joining Israel in his War against Iran As Trump weighed by hitting his nuclear installations.

“Netanyahu is not the President of the United States,” Sanders said on social networks earlier this week.
“He should not determine American foreign and military policy. If the people of Israel support their decision to trigger a war with Iran, it is their business and war. The United States should not be part of it,” he added.
The Democratic socialist was a vocal opponent of the war of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Gaza since Israel retaliated following Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023.
After Israel launched pre -empty strikes against Iranian nuclear installations last week, Sanders said It was “just his last violation of international law”, comparing Netanyahu to a “war criminal”.
The Senator of Vermont was expressed during his second rally of the day, part of his southern swing of the “combat oligarchy” tour that Sanders began in response to the agenda of the second term of Trump.
The representative Greg Casar, D-TX., And the former representative Beto O’Rourke, D-TX., Should join the Senator of Vermont during his gatherings in Texas on Sunday.
And representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., joined Sanders during his west swing of the tour earlier this year.

The tour targets the deep red districts currently held by the Republicans, a strategy possibly taken by Governor Tim Walz, D-Minn., Who welcomed the town hall in the districts of the Republican Congress, and the National Democratic Committee (DNC) through their “popular town hall” across the United States.
Sanders also organized a rally in the hometown of the president of the room, Mike Johnson, of Shreveport, in Louisiana on Saturday.
