The United States deploys B-2 bombers in Guam, unclear so linked to the tensions of the Middle East: Official

While the war between Iran and Israel continues, Fox News has confirmed that previous reports that B-2 took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and went to Guam.
A Reuters report, citing an American official, said that no order had been given to move the planes beyond Guam. Reuters said it was not clear if the deployment was linked to the increase in tensions in the Middle East.
The UK Defense Journal reports that the stealth bombers were accompanied by eight KC-135 stratotankers, which would allow refueling in aerial. The newspaper suggests that the ultimate destination for bombers could be Diego Garcia, an American base in the Indian Ocean.

What is the likely destination for B-2?
Retired navy CDR. Jim “Puck” Howe told Fox News Digital that the stealth bombers “could easily do” in Guam in a single flight with a refueling at noon. Howe has said that stratotankers’ fuel capabilities are unlikely to keep B-2 altitude if their ultimate destination is the island “considerably” base of Diego Garcia.

Howe says that while the United States “could attack (Fordow) from Guam,” he “makes much more sense” to launch an attack by Diego Garcia because of his proximity to Iran.
What is Diego Garcia?
Diego Garcia is a 2,400 miles base in the south of Iran. Its strategic value lies in its deep water port, a long track which is “capable of accommodating heavy bombers and advanced satellite communication systems”, ” Aero-News newspaper Reports.

The United States has used the base when managing Iran threats in the past. Two B-2 was deployed in Diego Garcia in March. The Islamic Republic of Iran threatened to attack the American base in April.
It is not clear if Iranian ballistic missiles are able to reach Diego Garcia. American troops across the Middle East are supposed to face an increased risk of attack if the United States enters the conflict.

Why is B-2S vital in the current conflict?
Each stealth bomber is able to transport two GBBU-57 massive penetrators of 30,000 pounds, which are considered the most effective means of destroying the Iranian nuclear site of Fordow, which can be dug between 300 feet and 2,600 feet under a rocky mountain.
Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Fox News Digital “Destrong (Fordow) of the Air is work that only the United States can do.”
