Bedbug infestations in two places in Las Vegas sparked legal action after four travelers reported serious “injuries”.
Three proceedings were filed in April against two seaside resorts on the Las Vegas strip for incidents that occurred in the summer of 2024.
The guest of Treasure Island, Teresa Bruce, noticed bites on her body during her stay on June 21, according to the official complaint. She decided to change rooms but ended up with more bites.

The guest was “injured and offended” by the bites, according to the complaint, and “was injured”.
Bruce allegedly alleged that the hotel had confirmed that the two rooms had bedbugs after sending a risk management team.

At the Louxor hotel on June 8, Stephen and Courtney Gully noticed bites on their bodies which “swell and get worse, appearing red, swollen and became more and more itchy”, according to their complaint.
The reaction of Courtney Gully was so serious, said the complaint, that her throat “felt” that she closed and she was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The ravines were “forced to purge essentially all their personal effects” due to the “severity of the infestation”, according to the complaint.
About a month later, on July 16, Brianna McKenzie also remained at Luxor and made similar allegations in her own complaint.
The justice complaint said that it had been “massacred by bedbugs” and had “undergone other bodily injuries, emotional distress and damage”.

Lawyer Brian Virag, founder and CEO of my bedbug lawyer, represents all the complainants in these cases and commented on the situation.
“We have deposited these cases because our customers were exposed to bedbugs, and they suffered injuries and damage,” Los Angeles -based lawyer in Fox News Digital told.

“We wanted not only to make sure to represent them, but also to make realize that bedbugs in Las Vegas hotels are a real problem.”
Virag said most of its customers have suffered from bites, scars and itching, which led to emergency visits.
Major women should be “properly trained” to recognize and eliminate bedbugs, the lawyer said.
Customers have also called for emotional damage to the bedbug exhibition, because Virag noted that the resulting trauma is “super significant”.
The lawyer urged the resort owners to prioritize customer safety by using cleaning women who are “very adequately trained” to recognize and eliminate bedbugs.

“As a rule, the guests did not put two and two immediately if they have bites on their bodies,” said the lawyer representing travelers. (istock)
“They must maintain the appropriate procedures and protocols of antiparasitic control,” he said. “And they just have to make sure that when they return a friend’s room, he is free from bedbugs.”
He added: “You want to try to go to an infestation of bedbugs as soon as possible, because bedbugs reproduce at a very high rate.”

For those who may have been exposed to bedbugs, Virag has recommended to document everything.
“As a rule, the guests did not put two and two immediately if they have bites on their bodies,” he said.

The lawyer shared his expectations that the hotels in question would meet the complaint in the near future. (istock)
“They don’t necessarily think it could be bedbugs. Always make sure you check you before putting your head on the pillow.”
Treasure Island and Luxor have not yet responded to complaints, but Virag has shared his expectations for a response to be tabled in the near future.
