Friday, representative Darrell Issa suggested that the Chamber should consider taking a constitutional amendment to facilitate the withdrawal of a president who is unable to carry out the work in response to the alleged concealment of the mental state declining of former president Joe Biden.

ISSA, R-Calif., Which is a member of the Chamber’s Judicial Committee, said the actions taken by the Biden administration officials to keep the Americans in ignorance show that the provisions of the 25th amendment can be insufficient. This amendment allows the vice-president and the cabinet to withdraw a president of his role if he is “unable to pay the powers and duties of his office”.

“The initiation was always intended to be vice-president and the cabinet assuming that they would take the oath and their observation seriously and that they were closest to the president to find out if this event was necessary,” Issa told Fox News. “It now seems that their impartiality can be questioned.”

Issa added: “If this is the case, the other two branches must be introduced in one way or another in the process of asserting that the president may be unable to perform his functions and determine this in a fair public manner and, if necessary.”

The other two branches in this case would probably be the Congress and the Supreme Court.

The ISSA comments are intervened while the Chamber’s supervisory committee is expected to intervene three managers of the Biden administration next week on the decline of the former president. The former director of the Council of National Policy, Neera Tanden, will meet the committee on Tuesday. The former assistant of the president and principal advisor to First Lady Anthony Bernthal will meet the committee on Thursday. The former doctor of the White House, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, will testify on Friday under assignment.

The Committee also has interviews planned with former officials of the Annie Tomasini and Ashley Williams administration. And he is looking for interviews with several officials of the Biden interior circle, notably the former chief of staff Ron Klain and the former president of the president for communications Anita Dunn.

Among the questions, investigators will also have whether Biden officials used the autopen to authorize executive actions without the authorization of the president.

The results of this survey, according to Issa, could help to inform exactly how to write this potential constitutional amendment.

“What President Comer does is extremely important because he is essentially looking for facts for the judicial committee, which will undoubtedly take a possible amendment to the 25th amendment,” said Issa.

There is a very high threshold to modify the Constitution – a two -thirds vote in each room and ratification by three -quarters of the States. Thus, if an amendment materializes from the judicial committee, it would be faced with a difficult route to go through the congress, even with a unified republican control. But Issa says it is worth making an effort to improve the system.

“As it did not work, we have to ask ourselves, is there another way to improve it in the future?” He asked.
