Mistrust of voters for Biden administration due to the mental form of the president

Voters say they were aware of the decline of former President Joe Biden and believe that the administration lacked honesty and transparency of his mental condition, many wanting to investigate the issue.
A new Fox News survey reveals more than half, 52%, thinks that it is important to investigate whether Biden advisers have used an autopen without the president’s conscience, while 46% say it’s time to move on.
The chairman of the chamber’s supervisory committee, James Comer, continues investigations against the former Biden administration staff for having allegedly covered the Biden’s mental decline and using an autopen for executive actions.
Opinions are divided on the question of whether the advisers should be examined to make key presidential decisions in the name of Biden (50% investigating VS 49% passage), while a majority opposes to investigate the question of whether the Biden advisers have covered its decline (44% investigating against 55% of travel).

Among the Democrats, one in five supports an investigation into the advisability of concealment, while around one in four feels like this to use the autopen and make presidential decisions.
Overall, 68% of voters believe that the previous administration was dishonest of the Biden State, including 52% of the Democrats, 75% of the self -employed and 81% of the Republicans.

However, while a majority is appropriate that there was a concealment, they were not duples.
Nearly 7 out of 10 say they were aware of Biden’s cognitive state before his breathtaking debate performance in June 2024. Some 28% say they knew he was in decline as soon as he took office, 21% say a few years after his mandate and 19% after starting to present himself to the re -election.
20% additional knew Biden’s decline after his debate with Donald Trump. Less than 1 in 10 say that it was not in decline (9%).
These figures comply with what the voters have said throughout Biden’s mandate.
As early as November 2021, only one year after the election of Biden, Fox News inquiry found that a majority of 53% thought that his age interfaced with his work as president, including more than a quarter of the Democrats. In the mid-term of 2022, our electoral survey on the analysis of Fox News voters revealed that 57% of voters estimated that Biden did not have the mental capacity to serve and, by July 2024, which increased to 65%.
“A little lost in the Kerfuffle at the exact moment of the decline of Biden is the fact that most knew that he was losing him and had taken him into account in their choice of voting long before the presidential debate,” explains Daron Shaw, a Republican who leads the Fox News Survey with Democrat Chris Anderson. “However, Biden’s reputation and legacy clearly take a hit because the true history of his administration is revealed.”
Biden’s current personal favorability is under water by 13 points (43% favorable, 56% unfavorable), against -19 points in January. At the start of his presidency, his notes were positive net of 10 points (54% favorable, 44% unfavorable, April 2021).
Today, 75% of Democrats have a positive vision of Biden, against 95% four years ago.
Directed from June 13 to 16, 2025, under the direction of Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R), this Fox News survey includes interviews with a sample of 1,003 voters registered at random in a national voter file. The respondents maintained themselves with live interviewers on fixed lines (149) and mobile phones (566) or completed the survey online after receiving an SMS (288). The results based on the full sample have a sampling error margin of ± 3 percentage points. The sampling error for the results between the subgroups is higher. In addition to the sampling error, the wording of the question and the order can influence the results. Weights are generally applied at age, breed, education and zone variables to ensure that demographic data are representative of the registered electoral population. Sources to develop weight objectives include the American Community Survey, Fox News Voter Analysis and voter file data.
