Voters feel a little better in the economy, but the global feeling remains negative.

Since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, positive notes in the economy have increased from 21% in March to 28% in April 31% in the last Fox News survey, which concerns things at the end of the Biden administration in January. In the previous four years, this number was greater than the current note only once, when it reached 32% in June 2024. For reference, at the end of the first Trump administration, 33% gave positive brands on economic conditions (December 2020), but this had reached 55% in January 2020 (just before the pandemic).

Currently, 62%say that their families take forward (14%) or will be held financially (48%), up 5 points since January. The 36% who say they are late are the lowest in four years.

However, the economic feeling is mainly dark: 84% are extremely or very concerned about inflation, 68% of the score conditions as just or poor, and 55% feel pessimistic about the economy.

Democrats, the self -employed, women and voters without university degree are among those who are most likely to say that the economy is in poor condition, while republicans, men and college graduates are among those who are most likely to better assess it.

“During the Biden years, the Republicans and the self -employed were extremely negative about the economy, while the Democrats were slightly lower,” said Republican survey Daron Shaw, who helps manage the Fox News investigation with Democrat Chris Anderson. “Now, with Trump as president, the Democrats think that the sky falls, while the Republicans see sunlight.”

By a margin of 21 points, voters oppose the federal budgetary legislation adopted by the House of Representatives that the President calls the “Big Beautiful Bill” (38% favor against 59% to oppose). About half think that the bill would harm his family (49%), while a quarter thinks that it would help (23%), and another quarter does not think that would make a difference (26%).

Sixty percent believe that they have a good understanding of what is in the OBBB, and although these voters are more likely to promote the legislation than those who do not know it, think even more than that will hurt rather than help their family (45% against 34%).

The opinions of the legislation are very partisan, the Republicans favoring it (73%), and the Democrats (89%) and the self -employed (73%) opposed. Less than half of the Republicans think it will help their families (46%).

Overall, 57% think that prices harm the economy, the highest ever recorded in Fox News surveys – and double the number that thinks that the prices help.

While a majority (53%) approves the management of border security by Trump (46% disapprove), the president receives negative notes on issues: immigration (46% approves, 53% disapprove) and foreign policy (42-57%). Its worst notes are on the economy (40-58%) and inflation (34-64%), where it is underwater by 30 points.

The overall approval of the president of the president is 46%, while 54% disapprove of. It is in place some ticks from 44 to 55% in April. Its highest approval, 49%, occurred in March 2025 and April 2020. Men under the age of 45 (55% approve) and white men without a university diploma (54% Approit) are among those who give the president his best brands. Seven in 10 Republicans consider themselves to be part of the Maga movement, and 98% of them approve.

About 90% of Democrats disapprove of the work that Trump generally does and on specific issues, with the exception of border security, where less disapprove of (80%). Most Republicans are with Trump, but approval is 68% on inflation and 75% on the economy, in general. The disapproval between the self -employed varies from about half of the security of the borders to three -quarters on inflation.

When voters are asked of what they think about Trump as a person, his notes are underwater of 10 points: 45% have a favorable opinion and 55% an unfavorable opinion. For comparison, it is almost up to JD Vance (44-53%), Joe Biden (43-56%) and Marco Rubio (42-46%) and before Elon Musk (41-58%), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (40-45%), Gavin Newsom (39-45%) and Pete Hegseth (32-45) Hiscy Trail those of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (48-50%) and Kamala Harris (49-51%). Harris’ higher favorability comes from more democrats (87%) and self -employed (38%) considering it positively compared to Trump’s favorable views between Republicans (85%) and independents (34%).

None of the people tested – not the president, not the vice -president and not the former president nor the former vice -president – have obtained positive notes of at least 50% of voters, although Harris gets closer.

As mentioned above, most are concerned about inflation (84%), including 78% of Republicans.

By a single point, the future of the United States narrowly exceeds inflation as the main concern of voters, with 85% saying that they are worried about the management of the country. This includes 8 in 10 and 9 democrats and independent in 10 democrats.

Eight out of 10 voters are concerned about public spending and Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon, while around 7 out of 10 are concerned about anti -Semitism, illegal immigration and the use of the American army at the national level and about 6 out of 10 on demonstrations in American cities.

More democrats (87%) and the self-employed (71%) express their concern about the deployment of federal troops in cities in response to anti-ice demonstrations than Republicans (42%). On the other hand, more Republicans (84%) are concerned about illegal immigration than independents (68%) and Democrats (49%).

There is no problem on which the three groups, democrats, republicans and independent agree on priorities. The three main concerns for Democrats are the future of the United States, inflation and American troops being deployed, while for Republicans, it is illegal immigration, Iran obtaining nuclear weapons and public spending. Among the self -employed is the future of the country, inflation and public spending.

Directed from June 13 to 16, 2025, under the direction of Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R), this Fox News survey includes interviews with a sample of 1,003 voters registered at random in a national voter file. The respondents maintained themselves with live interviewers on fixed lines (149) and mobile phones (566) or completed the survey online after receiving an SMS (288). The results based on the full sample have a sampling error margin of ± 3 percentage points. The sampling error for the results between the subgroups is higher. In addition to the sampling error, the wording of the question and the order can influence the results. Weights are generally applied to age, breed, education and area variables to ensure that demographic data are representative of the registered electoral population. Sources to develop weight objectives include the American Community Survey, Fox News Voter Analysis and voter file data.
